Art. Play. Love

Our collection of beautiful and durable hand-dyed play silks is curated in collaboration with Fibre Artist Laura Warry, designed and handmade in Australia.

These buttery soft and free flowing silks are versatile and essential to any toy collections, and will provide hours of endless play opportunities for your little dreamers. From babies for sensory play, to older children for imaginative and small world play, the special colours and textures of silks will nourish the senses, inspire creativity and spark imagination. Children will enjoy using them for different activities such as pee-a-boo, cape wearing, blankets for their babies / picnics, landscapes for building...anything they can imagine.

Laura uses colourfast, child safe dyes for her silks, her creations are inspired by nature, and variegated colour with depth and realism are achieved with her unique hand dye method, producing an one-of-a-kind piece to treasure. The natural crinkles in silk are specifically preserved for added texture.

Brand Story - Art. Play. Love

Laura is an Fibre Artist and Early Childhood Educator trained by Kathy Walker in the The Walker Learning Approach - a play based curriculum. Laura is a firm believer in constructivist teaching, with a particular focus and keen interest in play based learning and the Arts.

In 2017, she opened her home studio and developed a process art program, inviting many young children and their families to join in discovering the joy of art and messy play.

She enjoys working with natural fibres such as wool and silk to bring open-ended toys to life, offering children a unique play experience that will nourish their senses and encourage their imaginations to blossom.
